Batman Gotham Noir is an Elseworlds graphic novel written by Ed Brubaker and published by DC Comics in 2001. This is Sean & Ed's first project they worked on just the two of them, initating their longstanding creative partnership.

It is vintage Sean Phillips work on Batman from earlier in his career that he has unearthed from his collection.

The original is hand drawn in pencil & ink on a piece of 11 1/4 X 17" DC Comic Art Board. Panel 1 is a stat of text and reproduction of Jim Gordon's mugshot. The rest of the page is all original.
