Marko Djurdjevic seemed to jump into the comic scene out of nowhere! Next thing you know, his fresh, vibrant art is gracing the covers to many of Marvel's titles.
It all started in early 2006, when Marko who was working a design job at Massive Black Studios in San Franciso at the time, succumb to a challenge one night from an artist friend of his, Nic Klein.
Nic and he had a contest to see who could do the best job redesigning classic Marvel characters. After posting the 18 redesigns that he did of X-men characters on an online art forum, he begins to receive a huge amount of criticism, both constructive, and outright hate mail.
Marko received a call from Marvel out of the blue. Somehow the X-Men redesigns ended up being seen by the editors in charge and they offer him a job to draw X-23 Covers.
After meeting the love of his life, Jelena who would soon become his wife, he quit his day job at Massive Black, and traveled back home to Germany to open a studio. After receiving a 3 year exclusive contract from Marvel, the rest becomes history. Marko continues to push the limits of his craft monthly as he completes cover and cover for books such as Daredevil, Thunderbolts, and much more.
